The Effect of Ethical Leadership on Work Engagement and Workaholism: Examining Self-Efficacy as a Moderator

This study aims to investigate how ethical leadership can influence work engagement and workaholism through the potential moderating effect of self-efficacy. There have been debates on similarities, their negative correlation, differences between these two outcomes. To show one new aspect evidence regarding debate, we chose as common antecedent outcomes analyzed relationships while considering a boundary condition, For this purpose, using an online questionnaire, collected primary data from 80 graduate students university in Indonesia. An experimental research design was applied, used t-test hierarchical regression analysis confirm relationship mentioned above. Results indicate that has positive engagement, it insignificant workaholism. Moreover, self-efficacy did not moderate or One novelty present is finding different consequences “similar” leadership. Implications, limitations, direction for future are also discussed.
